How would your life change if you believed there was nothing wrong with you?

Online therapy for adults who are ready to get “unstuck”, shed their insecurities, and move forward with confidence and self-acceptance

We're often told that our 20s and 30s are the best years of our lives

But it doesn't feel like that if you're constantly struggling with self-criticism, feeling insecure in your relationships, and regularly experiencing "impostor syndrome" at school or work. The reality is that it's hard to enjoy your 20s and 30s if you're still holding onto baggage from your past, and many of us are.

Whether your parents were emotionally unavailable, you were bullied by classmates or a sibling, you lost friendships throughout your childhood and adolescence, or were hurt by a romantic partner, the results are often the same- anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem.

The good news is that you can learn to let go of your baggage.

Hi, I'm Shaylyn (she/her). I help adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and other issues related to trauma.

Together, we'll take a look at your past experiences and how they’ve shaped the person you are today.  I’ll help you shift your thoughts and feelings from shame-based and self-critical to compassionate and self-accepting. In doing so, you'll be able to take better care of yourself, trust in your relationships, and feel confident in your performance in school and at work.

I struggle with “impostor syndrome” and worry about being “found out”

I'm compassionate towards others but harsh on myself

I'm afraid if I set boundaries I'll hurt people I care about

EMDR Therapy

A thorough and efficient path to healing

Eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy helps people let go of unhelpful memories, thoughts, feelings, and body sensations to cultivate a life that they are in control of.

This therapy addresses the root causes of anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem so that you can heal in a way that creates long-lasting change. If you are sick of symptom-management and going through the vicious cycle of feeling better and then feeling bad again, EMDR therapy could be the key to getting unstuck.

How Therapy Works

Connect

Schedule a free 20 minute phone or video consultation to make sure we're a good fit. We'll talk about the issues you're experiencing and your goals for therapy. I'll share what therapy together will look like and answer any questions you have.

Get Relief

We'll develop a safe and secure relationship based on trust, open communication, and mutual respect.  I’ll teach you skills to manage your unhelpful thoughts and unpleasant feelings. Soon, your unhelpful thoughts will hold less power over you and you’ll feel relieved, content, and empowered.

Heal

When you're ready, we'll explore past experiences that are connected to your present symptoms. As we process these experiences, you'll notice a positive shift in the way you think, feel, and behave. You’ll accept and appreciate yourself, feel more secure in your relationships, and more confident in your performance in school and at work.
